When I describe the end of things to someone in grief, or experiencing a traumatic loss, its important to talk about the violent senselessness of it all. This episode is not one of those episodes. The decisions and players have acted on their own volition, and if you have chased the narritive you may know that this is just one of the ways the events spilled out. 

The team is dying by the minute with a Chicol running red hot on Rhogar. Luckily, due to a Heroe's Feast Spell cast by Dufin, we can not be frightened. This knowledge was not given to our aggressors and thus we have a chance.

Dungeonetics -88- Feast or Famine.

After departing Holgaz and her delightful devilish bargain, we seemed to be almost too prepared for the fight with Chicol. With a Hero's feast and the guarantee that the changeling would become Faye once again, Id say that this is the best day ever. Drago's personal journal.

 

It is very true that after passing though Bainsola's in a larvae-like state, we let opportunity rot away facing the more important Chicol. While both a puzzle and a fight seem to be intertwined in this particular episodes, the keen eared listener will hear a different workings of bargains being suggested in the moments that we aren't trying to actively seek a better way out.

Dungeonetics -87- A puzzle with some firery friends

Escapism with friends and snacks. A good friend once explained it to me as these are the key points a to a proper DnD session. Oddly enough, the characters have become so actualized and conceived that I truly believe that our particular party would not be friends.

The path to the final chamber is close by and with a ritual currently reaping souls into Bainsolas, time is of the essence. We do not have the luxury that many would, being that each minute that slips past us ensures a higher challenge. Will the team split into separate factions when faced by demonic delights and deals? Dungeonetics -86- Not T'day. MY GLORY!

I was once questioned on the why of Dungeons & Dragons and, to be honest I get tired of defending its merits in which the generation of anything seems so instant...

 

So I begin to tell the stories of people. Time is so fleeting and we get to use it where we can. Some folk find it painfully even debilitatingly so, to express themselves with any heroic voice.  They've  felt as though they were never air to breathe in the room which largely rejected them. The act of a collective and cooperative enriching narrative storytelling in a safe environment more than permits them, but can beacon them with fruitful narrative that they can pick apart at their will or spoil the scheme. It allows people, real human thinking people to unmask, or remask, or open up an inner hero that says I was there and it meant something.

It is also math rocks and sometimes unhealthy escapism.

So the final push is upon us, and sacrifices in an almost Squidesque manner seem unlikely. Ears are still turned hard in this "dice rolls against each other!" episode, all because of the suggestion of giving runway to Bainsolas. To seek congress with the ones who wish your end might be the most noble act.

Dungeonetics -85- Collapse Thine Fluted Passage.

I'm well aware of the challenge we all face in this media climate, so allow us to teleport you to the concept of colabrotive storytelling. In the same ways that tag seemed such a simple multiplayer game, the legend and lore of certain taggers can develop. Jim, always wearing purple socks was the best hider in school while his brother Jed was a close farter. No explanations needed.

 

Now in our story, our boys have had enough. No matter how many legends of the past have come to levy their concerns by blade and spell, our focus is clear. Except something odd presents itself at the end of this episode, in which boosting the enemy of our enemy would solve a troubling puzzle. Resolve and understanding are dashed against the proverbial rocks in what I can only describe is "a good one".
